This December, in the spirit of giving during the holiday season, our very own Griffin Bouchard, a sophomore at the Regional, is hosting a charity skate at the rink at Pingree High School.

The skate will take place on December 19, from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and there is a $10.00 suggested donation at the door. Griffin has raised over  $25,000 over the past four years, and wants to tack on $10,000 more for his fifth.

The proceeds will all go towards Boston Children’s Hospital’s Sports Concussion Clinic and Brain Injury Center.

Former Boston Bruin Rick Middleton, Blades the Bear (the Bruin’s mascot), and several other NHL alumni will be present at the event. Middleton had a 15 year professional career in the NHL, and scored nearly 900 points in his time with the Bruins. He captained the team from 1985-1988, won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in his 1982 season, and played for Team Canada in the Olympics in 1981 and 1984 . His jersey, number 16, was retired on November 29 of this year, and he will forever be one of the greats of the Boston Bruins.

If you’re interested, come support Griffin and Boston Children’s Hospital on the 19th, and bring your skates!
