What to do for $20 or Less This Summer Locally
Don’t be limited by your budget this summer when you can do these fun activities for only $20!
Local Activities
- Pick your own fruit at Russell Orchards in Ipswich, MA this summer! About $7/lb of fruit (although the price varies by fruit) plus a $5 entry fee. A delicious and fun way to spend the day!
- On a hot summer’s day, go to Crane’s Beach! It is a refreshing way to cool off during the summer. Parking is $20, but after 4 pm it is only $8! Enjoy sunsets, swimming, and long walks down the 2.5-mile-long gorgeous beach!
- Explore the Peabody Essex Museum to enjoy art, interactive exhibits, and fun activities! Ticket prices vary by age: adults are $20, seniors (65+) $18, students (with ID) $12, youth (16 and under), and Salem residents free. After visiting the museum, take a walk around the haunted city of Salem!
- Spend a day at Castle Creek Adventure Land with family and friends! Mini golfing, go-kart racing, ice cream, and more! Go to Castle Creek for so many fun summer activities! Adult tickets are $13.00 and children and seniors (65+) are $11.00.
- Go to a concert at Patton Park! On Sundays after 5 pm, it’s free! You can enjoy this all summer long!
Activities in Boston
- Take the train into Boston for a day! Prices can vary depending on time, location, and age, but no more than $10 one way. Bring your student ID for a discounted ticket.
- While in Boston you can walk along the Freedom Trail! It is a free way to explore the history of Boston and get an in-depth tour of famous historical sites and landmarks.
- You can also visit the Public Garden in Boston and look at the beautiful scenery as well as ride the Swan boats. It is a fun and affordable way to enjoy the city! Ticket costs: adults are $4.50, children are $3.00 (age 2-15 years) children younger than 2 years ride for free, and Seniors are $4.00 (age 65+).
- There are still fun things to do in Boston on a dreary day. Get a glimpse of a whole other world at the Boston Public Library!
