As summer vacation rolls around, so does summer work. The required summer work for each class is listed below. Click on the links provided to find more details about the assignments.

Note: Some History classes have required summer work that has not been released yet. This list will be updated when it is.

Options For Accessing Books

A number of classes require summer reading. Links can be found under each assignment to buy the book from Amazon or borrow it from the HW Public Library. Here are some other options for accessing those books:

  • Hamilton Wenham Public Library or other libraries:
    • You can check the availability of books and audiobooks in the catalog
  • Purchase the book on Amazon or from a bookstore
  • Use the Sora app
    • Students and staff can now borrow ebooks and audiobooks through the school library using the Sora app.  Through Sora, we have access to the MA Library System’s Commonwealth Ebook Collection, which contains over 40,000 titles.  This collection is only shared between participating K-12 schools in MA, so wait times for items are generally shorter than they can be at public libraries.  Sora offers a wide range of accessibility features, including dyslexic font, customizable text, and more. The Sora app has been loaded into self-service on all school iPads, but it can also be added to any device or accessed through a web browser.  Students can use their school Google account to access this service. • Libby
    • This app can be accessed for free with any library card and offers free eBook and audiobook options
